Braided Headband Tutorial

By Makenna Ashley

Whether you already have long hair, or you need extra help from clip in extensions, this is an easy hairstyle that makes a headband a lot more grown up. Clip in your extensions before creating this Braided Headband hairstyle. Braided Headband Tutorial

Step 1: Separate a one inch section from your part and clip it away from your face.

Step 2: Take a three inch section of hair and braid it towards your face. Braiding towards your face will help you not to have big bumps or pieces poking out when pinning the braid across your head. Tie it off with a clear elastic to help hold the braid while pinning.

Step 3: Volumize your braid. Pulling out pieces from the edges will give the illusion of a fuller braid.

Step 4 & 5: Using a bobby pin, start at the base and pin every three inches down.  Hide the bobby pin the best you can by bobby pinning underneath your braid. Make sure you have the base of the braid laying flat against your head so when you bring down the section of hair you won't have a bump.

Step 6: Pin the edge of the braid behind your ear. After it's secured, take out the clear elastic.

Step 7 & 8: Back comb the crown of your hair for volume. This step isn't necessary but I feel it gives a more polished look!

Give this look a light hair spray to keep the hold all day and enjoy! Tag us in your photos so we can see your recreations! :) @cashmere_hair @makennaashley #CashmereHair
