Boho Wedding Hairstyle Tutorial

Cashmere Hair Extensions Boho Wedding

Wedding season is around the corner so today I'm sharing with you a gorgeous, boho inspired wedding hairstyle! This style would be just lovely on a bride with a veil hanging over the back of the flower crown, or for your bridesmaids! Your wedding is the day that so many of us dream of -- so why not have the hair of your dreams? Here at Cashmere Hair, we have you covered on all things Boho! & all things brides! After winning the best of weddings through The Knot & Wedding Wire!

Relaxed, boho vibes are becoming more and more popular for wedding season! We're starting to see the tight curls and traditional up-do's traded in for flower crowns and even flat brimmed hats! From fur to leather jackets over a wedding dress - traditional boquet's being switched out for more of a wildflower feel... there are some big changes in swing and I'm here for it!

Do you love how the styles are changing in the wedding world? Are you more of a traditionalist or are you swooning over the boho, relaxed vibes? Maybe you're somewhere in between - and that's just what I LOVE about each couple's wedding, their personality gets to shine to make it uniquely theirs!

Back when I got married, mason jars and burlap were all the rage!  Now we're seeing gorgeous textures coming into play like macrame's, earth tones, velvet runners and whimsical flower arrangements.

Something I love on brides is the understated yet simply beautiful curl. Worn with the hair fully down or half down, it gives a very flowy, bohemian flair to the bride. This look is effortless and classic in my opinion, soft curls are a win every day and especially on your big day!

So, let's get to it! Whether you're a bride, bridesmaid, or simply looking for a whimsical yet elegant style to put in your tool belt, this is the style for you.

I'll be using a 1.25 inch curling iron which will aid in getting the bigger curl, for this style it's important to use a larger curling iron rather than the small ones because that will make too tight of a curl for this look!

Key tip: Wrap the hair around the barrel, rather than twisting the hair up into a curl. As you'll see in the video, this technique gives a completely different curl than twisting the hair up, so be sure to do this step!

To maintain the curl throughout the day, something that really helps is to hold the curl once it's released into your hand for just a few seconds. This releases the most immediate heat while the curl is still tight in your hand so that when you let it fall, it keeps the style rather than loosening too much.

Ready for my best kept secret to instant volume?! Drum roll please.... the Cashmere one piece extension! This is perfect for those wanting to quickly get added thickness to their hair! It's one large piece rather than multiple pieces which not only makes it quick but ensures a beautiful thick finish.

Add that in, and watch your hair be transformed! If you're like me, with normal to thin hair, you'll love this extension as much as I do. In this video I'm wearing the shade Pale Ash Blonde (which I absolutely love!)

People are always shocked when I tell them I'm wearing extensions! They often say how they blend with the texture of my hair so well and the color is a perfect match, I always point back to quality of extensions! When you're not getting quality hair extensions the difference can be rather obvious. Brides, bridesmaids... ladies in general - this is not a place where you want to skimp! I've seen extensions everywhere from eBay, Target and places in between and low quality extensions are simply not worth wasting your money on. Take it from me, you get what you pay for in the extension world!

If you're looking for some cute flower crowns for your big day or even to have on hand when you're feeling vibrant and want an extra touch of cute - here are some of my faves!

Ok, wow, this one with the natural vine and neutral flowers would be just perfect for that low key, beach wedding or small elopement setting! Or even for a bride that wants to dabble in the flower crown world but is intimated by it, this smaller piece would be stunning!

Here is another stunning piece - this one has the perfect touch of pink while still overall looking neutral! A bit bigger flowers on this one than the first so definitely a bigger statement maker!

Now this one with it's vibrant range of orange and pink hues I could see for a tropical beach wedding! Especially with the added white in there, the perfect pop of whimsy and effortless!

There are so many beautiful pieces to choose from and each with it's own personality! So, tell me, do you have any weddings on your calendar for this spring/summer season or are you the bride to be?! Either way - how fun and exciting and I sure hope this tutorial gave you some bohemian inspiration!
